The Indie Summer Pop Up

With the 10th Edition of The Indie Art and Craft Show Series, it was time to shake things up. Important — rather very significant we consider countless factors impacting the creatives and makers in the local community. Inflation on the rise, unrest in politics, yielding so much uncertainty for small scale businesses, already struggling in the middle class, and lower middle class strata.

In a way to give back to the community which has made The Crafter’s Guild platform what it is today, we took a step (rather bravely) to put together The Indie Summer Pop Up in a span of three weeks. The name not only altered the impression and mindset, but opened the door to home based businesses dealing with commercially sourced products or as resellers, to also be a part of the ‘Support Local’ Community. No doubt, the experience was incredible, and very successful.

Despite,
storm warnings, unpredictable weather, an NOC dangling mid air - The Crafter’s Guild made it Alhamdulillah. Everyone, collectively pulled through with an amazing turnout, fantastic sales, and wonderful energies. The event was attended by differently abled individuals, families, dignitaries including the Malaysian Consul General and his family.

Thankful to all partners, supporters, and participants who contributed to the success of #INDIE23 at the beautiful Beach Luxury Hotel. Not only is Happiness is Handmade, it’s cherished, here, by a community advocating for Made in Pakistan!
